Vampires have been a prominent facet of popular culture ever since Bram Stoker’s novel Dracula was published in 1897. Vampire fiction as it exists today stems from the Stoker novel, which was the first to present everyone’s favorite vampire stereotypes: their hatred of sunlight, their ability to shape shift, their love for sleeping in coffins, and, most importantly, their lust for human blood.
As the years have progressed, there have been many versions of the vampire that have been made into films. The first was made all the way back in 1922 and vampires are still seen on the silver screen today. There is something that intrigues all of us about the vampire, whether it is our interest in their immortality, or our admiration for the vampire’s beauty and sexuality.
