Republicans and Democrats finally reached an agreement on a deal that would effectively reopen the government and avoid a U.S. debt default—just in time to meet the Thursday deadline for raising the debt limit.

According to CBS, the bill will keep the government open until January 15 and will raise the debt ceiling through February 7. The measure passed 81 to 18 in the Senate, and signed by President Obama after it was approved 285 to 144 in the House.
