The Vampire Diaries season premiere kicks off Oct. 3, and the wait is nearly killing all of us.
On Monday, actor Ian Somerholder took to his Instagram account posting up a snapshot quoting "in the interest of Saving paper...3 MORE DAYS till #TVD."

5. Silas becomes Stefan
In the season finale of season four, Silas who will now be played by Paul Wesley, locks Stefan up in a coffin dumping him into the ocean.

4. Katherine is now human
Just picture the evil twin as a real human. Hopefully, her inner human will make her nice once and for all.

3. Bonnie is dead
Perhaps she can magically do a spell on herself, but how different will it be without Elena's bff by her side. Let's not forget about how different it'll also be for Jeremy's character who is played by Steven R. McQueen, as Bonnie's bf who actually, did come back from the dead during season four.

2. Elena and Damon are finally a couple
Ah, yes. Finally! There is no denying that Elena and Damon are viewers favorite vampire couple is there? Season five will be full of steamy chemistry between Nina Dobrev, who plays Elena and former ex boyfriend Ian Somerholder who plays Damon.

1. The Original's spin off
A two-hour event of back to back vampire premiere. The Original's is a spin off, which focuses on the original family from the The Vampire Diaries kicking off it's series premiere after the VD.
