Tori Spelling and Jennie Garth will star in ABC Family's pilot for Mystery Girls. The two actresses previously starred together on the original Beverly Hills, 90210.
ABC Family announced on Monday that the two former stars would play the leads in the new series' pilot, CBS News reports.
Mystery Girls is about Holly (Spelling) and Charlie (Garth), who once were stars on a '90s crime-solving series on TV. Now Holly has decided to open a detective agency of her own and asks Charlie for help.
According to TheWrap, the idea for starting her own detective agency was born after a murder witness would only speak to the former star of Mystery Girls, Holly.
The pilot is set to begin shooting in November.
Neither Garth or Spelling have had much of a career since their days on 90210. Spelling's credits include a bunch of guest starring roles on TV shows, and she even appeared in two episodes of the CW 90210 reboot.
Garth has had a little more success, appearing in four seasons of What I Like About You alongside celebrity train wreck Amanda Bynes. She also appeared in the CW reboot, but much more often.
