If ABC was hoping that Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. would become must-see television every Tuesday night, the network has to be disappointed by its continuing fall in the ratings. The dip continued on this week, even though The Voice was just a recap show at 8 p.m. and NCIS fell.
Starting over at CBS, the eye network again drew the most viewers with a 14.78 million average and a 2.4 rating in the key demo. NCIS was still the most-watched show of the night with 17.87 million viewers, but only managed a 2.7 18-49 rating, notes HitFix. NCIS: LA also drew a decent number of viewers with 14.78 million and a 2.6 key demo rating. Person of Interest completed CBS’ sweep with 11.68 million viewers and a 2.0 18-49 rating.
NBC had just 9.21 million viewers and averaged a 2.7 18-49 rating. According to TheWrap, The Voice drew 10 million viewers and a 2.9 18-49 rating over its two hours. The first hour was a clip-show that also included previews of NBC’s new shows. Chicago Fire ended the night with 7.6 million viewers and a 2.2 key demo rating.
Things did not look so well at ABC, which averaged 5.38 million viewers and a 1.8 18-49 rating. SHIELD did have 7.72 million viewers and a 2.8 18-49 rating, a 15 percent fall from last week. Sitcoms The Goldbergs and Trophy Wife followed with 2.0 and 1.4 18-49 ratings, respectively, reports THR. Since Lucky 7 was axed already, a Scandal repeat ended the night with a 1.0 18-49 rating, much better than the last Lucky 7.
Fox’s sitcoms averaged 3.36 million viewers and a 1.6 18-49 rating. The big success on Tuesday nights for Fox is still New Girl, which had 4 million viewers and a 2.1 18-49 rating.
The CW’s Originals kicked off with 1.9 million viewers and a 0.9 18-49 rating, while Supernatural started its latest season with 2.5 million and a 1.2 rating.
