NBC still pulled out a key win on Tuesday in the ratings, even though The Biggest Loser returned to a record low premiere episode. Overall though, it’s starting to look like the Tuesday lineups have found their average audiences as their drops begin to slow.
CBS won in viewers, averaging 15.17 million viewers, but was just behind NBC in the 18-49 demographic with a 2.6 rating. NCIS kicked things off with 18.4 million viewers and a .30 key demo rating, notes HitFix. NCIS: LA drew numbers similar to last week with 14.6 million viewers and a 2.6. Person of Interest finished the night with 12.42 million viewers and a 2.1 18-49 rating.
NBC was far back in second with 9.31 million viewers, but did win the night in the demo with a 2.8. Biggest Loser started its season with just 7 million viewers and a 2.2 18-49 rating. According to Deadline, this was a 27 percent fall from last season, when it premiered on a Sunday in January. It was the lowest-rated premiere in the long-running competition show’s history.
The Voice drew a 3.9 18-49 rating, but its 12.69 million viewers was behind NCIS: LA. It was up 30 percent over last week’s episode. Chicago Fire was also up to 8.25 million viewers and a 2.4 rating.
ABC had 5.01 million viewers and a 1.6 18-49 rating. Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. had 7.68 million viewers and a 2.7 18-49 rating. It was down again, but only 7 percent from last week. Sitcoms Goldbergs(1.6) and Trophy Wife (1.3) both fell from the previous week.
Fox’s sitcoms averaged 3.28 million viewers and a 1.5 18-49 rating. They all stayed steady from last week, with New Girl leading the way with a 1.8 rating.
The CW had a great night, with The Originals up to 2.2 million viewers and a 1.1 18-49 rating. Supernatural had 2.31 million viewers and a 1.1 18-49 rating.
