Tyra Banks is suing 10 companies for $10 million after they used her personal information with wigs. She is fed up with the businesses using her name to promote and sell products without her knowledge that it's happening.
According to TMZ, the Los Angeles companies are using photos of Banks to inspire several of their wigs. The companies even used her name, photographs, image, identity an trademarks without the former model's approval.
Websites for these wig companies feature photos of wigs for sale that come in various styles of Tyra Banks-inspired hairdos. Some items are priced as high as $300.
Banks is demanding that the companies stop selling the wigs, along with at least $10 million in damages.
Perez Hilton reports that Banks' latest project is a series of photos called “Tyra Banks Presents: 15,” where she changed hair and makeup to produce 15 shots of herself as other models. She posed as the face of stars such as Kate Upton, Brook Shields, Udo Spreitzenbarth, herself at 15 years old and more.
