Andrew Bogut agreed to a three-year $36 million extension to keep him with the Warriors.
According to CBS Sports that number could be lifted up to $42 million with incentives. He will have to play at least 65 games and receives an honor such as All-Star appearances, defensive player of the year awards, or first team defense to get that salary over $40 million.
Bogut played 12 games into the playoffs with the Warriors at center last season. Had this deal not gotten done Bogut would have been a free agent this year.
"Basically having game incentives, Bogut said, whatever the number is, 60, 70, whatever it is, I have no problem. I think that's only fair.”
According to USA Today Bogut averaged 7.2 points, and 10.9 rebounds per game during the playoffs last year.
The Warriors had their sights on Dwight Howard this Summer but didn't land him so they stuck with Bogut after his performance in the postseason last year.
