Another Dancing with the Stars contestant hopeful for the mirror ball trophy has been sent home. This week’s elimination was pretty shocking, as Christina Milian was sent home from the competition in Week 5.
This week’s dance went along with the contestants’ “Most Memorable Year" of their lives. She chose 2010, the year she found out her daughter’s father, The Dream, was cheating on her with her assistant.
Although Milian got a score of 28 from the judges, she was ultimately sent home, CBS News reports.
When she found out her fate, she admitted "It's a true shock -- we had the best performance tonight that we had thus far,” but “I've made some great memories, some great friends here … I've learned a lot about myself just being here… I'm really happy I did this,” Huffington Post reports.
It was a shock, indeed, as Milian and her partner, Mark Ballas, got the highest score of the night and the first 10 of the season.
Joining Milian in the bottom 3 were Elizabeth Berkley and Val Chmerkovskiy, and Leah Remini and Tony Dovolani.
