ABC’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will be featuring a Thor-2 crossover which is set to be directed by Jonathan Frakes.

After Thor: The Dark World comes to theaters the Nov. 19 episode of S.H.I.E.L.D. will continue where the film left off. Frakes is known for working on and directing Star Trek: The Next Generation. Frakes has also directed an episode of S.H.I.E.L.D., which is co-created by Joss Whedon.

According toEntertainment Weekly the episode is titled “The Well.” The episode is set to feature many guest stars but none of the actors from Thor: The Dark World will be making an appearance on the show.

The Hollywood Reporter added that Marvel made the announcement last Friday and this episode will intersect with the ending of Thor: The Dark World. This is a move that Marvel might be hoping would push S.H.I.E.L.D in a more positive direction which would be reflected in the ratings. This move also might capitalize on the success of Thor: The Dark World.

Thor: The Dark World will open in theaters on Nov. 8th. Watch the trailer here.
