Jennifer Lawrence is the marquee star of The Hunger Games franchise, but she couldn’t make it to the party after the Los Angeles red carpet premiere for Catching Fire because she wasn’t feeling well. She recently spoke about the medical emergency attributing it to abdominal pain.

The Oscar winning actress told USA Today that she was feeling exhausted, which lead to stomach pains. That certainly makes sense, since she’s been everywhere to promote the new film, which opens Friday.

“My stomach is a little swollen, just from the way I treat it,” she continued. “I was supposed to be at the premiere (in Los Angeles), but I'm at the hospital.”

As previously reported earlier this week, she missed the premiere party since she was feeling under the weather. Co-stars Sam Claflin, Elizabeth Banks, and Liam Hemsworth did attend the party, which was filled with Hunger Games themed decorations. Several other young Hollywood stars like Jaden Smith, Joe Jonas, Kylie Jenner and Ashlee Simpson also attended the premiere.

Lawrence also spoke with David Letterman about her illness, calling it a “fulcer." She said she “thought I had an ulcer, but it turns out it was a 'fulcer.' I just had this really bad pain for, like, three weeks.” She also joked that drink co-star Woody Harrelson gave her made her sick, too.
