NBC’s The Michael J. Fox Show is getting 1.21 jiggawatts of electricity to help boost its falling ratings. Christopher Lloyd, Michael J. Fox’s Back to the Future co-star, has signed on to make a guest appearance.

Fox himself leaked the news on Twitter when a fan asked if he and Lloyd still keep in touch, even though it’s been 23 years since Back to the Future Part III’s release. “Newsflash: he's shooting next weeks' episode,” he replied.

The Hollywood Reporter later confirmed the cameo, reporting that Lloyd is currently only slated to appear in one episode. He’ll play the principal at the high school where Fox’s wife (Betsy Brandt) works.

This is not the first time the two stars of the BTTF franchise appeared together on TV. As The Huffington Post notes, Lloyd guest starred on Fox’s Spin City in 1999. The episode was titled “Back to the Future IV: Judgement Day.”

The Michael J. Fox Show is in its first season and airs on NBC Thursdays at 9:30 p.m.

Lloyd recently appeared on USA Network’s Psych and Fox’s Raising Hope.
