If this was the least memorable episode of The Good Wife all season, it was still miles ahead of anything else on TV. Even at it’s lowest, The Good Wife is still entertaining, engaging, and just as charming as always.

The week started off with Florrick/Agos finally moving into its new digs: an old T-Shirt factory. Certainly not the most luxurious offices, but their new surroundings are actually very hipster.

Meanwhile, Will is busy with his new lady friend. So busy, in fact, that he doesn’t even notice the return of Natalie (America Ferrera), the former love of Eli Gold. Natalie has a rather small issue (her friend is about to be deported if he doesn’t snitch on a gang leader), and thus is unimportant to the LG gang — apparently Lockhart/Gardner is going “hipster” too with their new name rebranding.

But what they don’t realize is that Natalie works at a big lobbying firm in Chicago that could bring a lot of business their way. But Natalie has already moved on to Florrick/Agos where Alicia and the gang are hard at work on her case.

The case turns out to be more than what they bargained for when Natalie’s friend accidentally gets deported anyway and Alicia and Cary must run all over town to keep him from re-entering Mexico.

Everywhere they turn seems to be a dead end, but luckily their investigator Robyn isn’t giving up. After eavesdropping on a conversation between the two Carys and learning she might be fired, she decides to step up to the plate. She goes into Superman-mode and does whatever it takes to stop the deportation.

And at the last second, Robyn’s ingenious plan works: she convinces Mexican authorities to turn him away at the border, thus saving the day.

While all this is going on, Eli attempts to reunite his love with Natalie, Peter questions Eli’s ethics, and Marilyn eats a lot of pop-tarts.

Overall, The Good Wife episode kept my attention but lacked the intensity of the rest of the season. It felt like it missed that little bit of oomph that gives the characters drive. But it’s good to have Robyn back in the action and hopefully her character will only continue to gain steam.
