Actor Anthony Mackie was arrested for drunk driving Saturday after being stopped by police for tinted windows.

According to TMZ, the actor, who is best known for his roles in movies such as 8 Mile, Hurt Locker and Gangster Squad, was pulled over in New York City around 1:30 a.m. Saturday morning on Lenox Avenue near 125th St. While he was originally pulled over for tinted windows in the Dodge Challenger he was driving, officials immediately noticed Mackie's bloodshot, watery eyes and the smell of booze emanating from his vehicle.

After failing several field sobriety tests, he was taken to a nearby police station, and then to the Manhattan Criminal Court Building for an arraignment, reports the Hollywood Reporter. However, the 35-year-old refused to submit to a blood-alcohol test, and will therefore have his license automatically suspended.

Mackie is currently working on his role of Falcon in the Marvel sequel Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which is slated for theatrical release in April 2014.
