Alec Baldwin arrived to a New York courtroom on Tuesday to testify against his alleged stalker, Canadian actress Genevieve Sabourin.
Baldwin has admitted to having dinner and a strictly professional relationship with Sabourin, but she claims they had a romantic relationship. She was arrested outside of his NYC apartment after showing up unwanted both there and his Hamptons home, allegedly harassing him with unwanted phone calls and showing up to a movie screening he attended.
Sabourin claims she wanted “closure” from their relationship but the Emmy-winner is accusing her of stalking and harassing him and his wife, Hilaria Baldwin, Daily News reports.
In emails exchanged between the two before Baldwin got married, Sabourin professed her love for him and her desire to make a “mini-Baldwin,” CBS Local notes.
Sabourin’s defense lawyer Todd Spodek claims they had a sexual encounter in 2010 after having dinner. He also claims they talked very personally, even about his father’s death.
Baldwin’s wife, Hilaria, who gave birth to their first child recently, is also expected to testify.
