Amanda Bynes will reportedly be home in time for the holidays. The former What I Like About You actress, 27, could be leaving psychiatric care as soon as next month.
According to TMZ, Bynes will likely get released in December to her mother, who will provide the necessary supervision at their family home. She’s said to be stabilized now that she’s had a few months of medication and counseling.
Another factor contributing to her release is the Easy A actress might be going stir crazy in the facility, where she can’t go outside due to the paparazzi.
She has been getting treatment for mental health issues since starting a small fire in the driveway in one of her neighbor’s homes in Thousand Oaks, Calif. back in July. She was initially placed in a 72-hour 5150 psychiatric hold but doctors recommended she stay in their care for much longer to help her recover.
Bynes was being treated at UCLA medical center first until she was transferred to The Canyon, a swanky rehab center in Malibu.
