After the detour, teams encountered a road block, where they would have to correctly assemble a traditional Indonesian instrument and successfully play an octave before receiving their next clue.
Leo and Jamal finished the road block first, and Jamal encouraged Leo to destroy his instrument so no one else could cheat, but Nicole started following him in an attempt to figure out what he did right, raising the tension even more.
At the start of this leg, teams learned they would be traveling more than 4000 miles to Bandung, Indonesia. Once arriving they were required to head to a ram arena in the village of Rancakek.
All of the teams were able to catch the same flight, and as a result Nicole and Travis and Leo and Jamal had a confrontation at the airport about the U-turn last leg.
At the ram arena teams learned they would have to take two rams to a traditional festival, wait for their rams to butt heads, and then load them back up onto a marked truck to receive their next clue.
After the ram challenge, teams had to catch a train back to Bandung, where they would find their next clue on the train platform. Nicole and Travis, Leo and Jamal and Ally and Ashley were on the first train back, but Jay and Amy and Tim and Marie were on a train one hour behind.
Back in Bandung, teams encountered a detour. In “For the elephants,” which all teams except Nicole and Travis chose, required teams to head to a market and pick up various fruits and sugar cane which they would then transport to a zoo to feed the elephants. In “For the birds,” teams had to pick up two birds and deliver them to a competition arena where they encouraged them to sing. Nicole and Travis chose this task and finished first.

She was unsuccessful however, as Leo did destroy it first. Tim and Marie finished quickly as well. Jay and Amy finished in third, but after they finished they stayed behind to help Nicole, who had arrived first and was having trouble.
Teams then headed to the Bosscha Observatory for the Pit Stop, and Leo and Jamal checked in first, winning $7500 each. Tim and Marie arrived in second, followed by Jay and Amy in third and Nicole and Travis in fourth.
Ally and Ashley were the last to arrive and were eliminated.
