The market for original television that is aired online is growing at a rapid rate. From Netflix dominating the market, with Orange is the New Black and House of Cards to now Amazon who has entered into the market.
Amazon’s new original series, Alpha House and Betas will debut on Amazon on November 15 and November 22nd. Deadline.com reported that the first three episodes of each series will be online for all Amazon customers to view for free.
Alpha House will star John Goodman, Cynthia Nixon and Wanda Skyes.
US News added that Amazon is not going to be using the Netflix style of making all episodes available at once. Viewers will be able to watch new episodes of each series through an Amazon Prime account; new episodes are expected to be made available online weekly.
US News also reported that Amazon will take into account viewership and view feedback when deciding which shows to put into full season production.
