Anna Gunn has found her next acting job. Gunn is best known for her role on Breaking Bad. Gunn played Walter White's wife, Skyler White. Following the conclusion of Breaking Bad it was unsure which direction Gunn would go in her next acting role.
The Breaking Bad star will be playing Detective Ellie Miller, who’s investigating the death of a friend’s child, in an American remake of BBC’s Broadchurch. The show will be presented in an eight-part series.
According to USA Today, the remake will be titled, Gracepoint.
Gracepoint will also star David Tennant as Detective Emmett Carver. Tennant is best known for his work on the BBC hit, Doctor Who.
The Hollywood Reporter also noted that Jacki Weaver(Silver Linings Playbook) will be joining the cast as Susan Wright, a mysterious woman who is new in town.
Filming for the show is set to start in January and will be broadcasted during the 2014-2015 season. No release date has been set for Gracepoint.
