Anne Hathaway’s rep is denying reports that she’s expecting her first child with husband Adam Schulman. Rumors began when the Oscar winner’s brother seemed to spill the beans at a comedy show last week.
Hathaway’s brother, Tom, was performing a stand-up routine in Brooklyn last week when he reportedly told the crowd that his sister was “about to be a new mom.”
"Tom opened his act by talking about Anne's personal life," someone who was there told Star magazine. “He said, 'My sister got married last year and now she is about to be a new mom! I don't think he realized what he had done."
However, the Les Miserable star’s rep told Daily News, “she is not pregnant.”
Even though she isn’t expecting a baby, Hathaway has been open about wanting to be a mother. She has said she wants to conceive naturally and adopt.
“I’ve wanted to be a mom since I was 16,” she has said. “I’ll start with one healthy kid, but I’d like to have a few naturally and adopt. I’d like as many as I can afford.”
