It’s time for Moira Queen’s trial for being involved in the plot to destroy The Glades. Laurel’s on the prosecuting team, but her allegiances lie with the Queen, even if the district prosecuting attorney has something up his sleeve.

Diggle insists on being with Oliver during the trial, but he’s not feeling well and Oliver tells him to go back to Queen HQ. Diggle passes out upon arriving in Felicity’s office. He comes to and Oliver pays them a visit. He identifies Diggle’s symptoms as that of a poison developed by Count Vertigo, and that Diggle is going through withdrawals.

Meanwhile, at the trial, the district prosecuting attorney is ripping Moira to shreds. He’s almost done questioning her when, just as Diggle had in Felicity’s office, he passes out in the middle of the courtroom. An ambulance driven by Count Vertigo arrives on the scene and kidnaps the DPA.

Moira faces an important decision during the trial: to testify or not to testify? If she testifies, she will be cross examined by the prosecution, who will turn the jury against her. As acting prosecution now, Laurel also has an important decision to make: cross examine to the best of her ability, or face disbarment and play dumb?

Count Vertigo broadcasts to every television in Sterling a video of him holding a needle to the DPA’s neck. Many people in the city are dealing with the withdrawal symptoms, which means that somehow Count Vertigo has been spreading the drug around the city unbeknownst to anyone. Count Vertigo warns that he’s going to give the DPA more of the drug, and won’t stop there. Using the broadcast, Felicity figures out Count Vertigo’s location and give the information to Oliver.

Laurel decides to face disbarment and visits Moira in jail. She tells Moira not to testify because she will be forced to cross examine her and pull the ripcord on her secret.

The Hood pays Count Vertigo a visit and frees the DPA.

Before testifying, Moira tells her children that while her husband cheated on her, she cheated on him with Malcolm Merlyn. Oliver and Thea are shocked. After testifying, Laurel rips into Moira just like the DPA had before he passed out.

With Diggle’s help, Felicity figures out a flu vaccination truck is traveling around Sterling giving unsuspecting people the drug. She tracks down the truck and finds the vertigo drug inside, only to be abducted by Count Vertigo while snooping around. Count Vertigo calls Oliver on his cell phone - he was able to get into Queen HQ with Felicity’s ID. Count Vertigo calls him by his name, Oliver, and ARROW!

Oliver gets to Queen HQ as fast as he can. A battle ensues between him and the Count, only to have it end with Vertigo getting three arrows in his heart and falling out of a window of the Queen HQ skyscraper. The sciences section of Queen Consolidated comes up with an antidote for those addicted to the vertigo drug.

As it turns out, Blood sent Count Vertigo to kill Arrow.

Even after Laurel’s cross examining, Moira is somehow found not guilty. At the end of the day, Moira’s driver takes her an empty parking lot instead of home. The driver opens her door, and as she’s stepping out of the car he gets an arrow in the heart. Malcolm Merlyn has arrived, obviously not dead. He’s come to tell Moira he had rigged the jury, and he knows he isn’t Thea’s father.
