The BBC has decided to use a hearse to help promote the upcoming third series of Sherlock.

The black hearse drove around London on Friday with flowers arranged in the back to say "Sherlock" and the program's return date of 01/01/14, reports The Hollywood Reporter. The driver's side window also had the hashtag #sherlocklives emblazoned on it.

The third series of the popular Benedict Cumberbatch-led program was announced to be returning to BBC One on Jan. 1 ahead of the series' premiere on the U.S. channel PBS. The second episode will air the same week on Jan. 5, then the third episode will air Jan. 12.

Deadline reports that the show will debut on Jan. 19 in the U.S., giving U.K. fans first crack at watching the show and also meaning U.S. fans will have to squirm for a few weeks and do their best to avoid spoilers.

The hearse also coincides with the name of the first of the three episodes, called "The Empty Hearse."

THR notes that the third series will pick up two years after "The Reichenbach Fall," when Sherlock Holmes fell from atop a building.
