Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are successful at everything they do and now you can add winemaker to that list. Their rosé is the top-ranking rosé on the list of the Top 100 wines in the world.
Their $28 “Côtes de Provence Rosé Miraval” ranked No. 84 overall on Wine Spectator’s 2013 list of the best wines their editors have tasted over the past year. The actors’ rosé is “Refined and elegant, offering pure and concentrated flavors of dried red berry, tangerine and melon,” according to the magazine. They added, “The focused finish features flint and spice notes, with a hint of cream. Drink now.”
According to Time, the magazine gave the wine, which is developed at their French estate, Chateau Miraval, 90 points on their 100-point scale. That means the wine has “superior character and style.” Celebuzz notes that the wine was the top-ranking rosé.
The wine was first available online in March and it took just five hours for the first 6,000 to sell out. Pitt and Jolie worked with the Perrin family to create the wine.
Jolie and Pitt, who are engaged, were both in Los Angeles this weekend as Jolie picked up the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences.
