Vince Gilligan is no longer a TV free agent. Breaking Bad creator and executive producer has signed a new overall deal with Sony Pictures TV. Sony Pictures was behind Breaking Bad, the series that made Gilligan one of the hottest writers in the industry.
Deadline reported that there had been strong interest among all studios over Gilligan after his contract had expired, but Sony TV resigned Gilligan in the end.
The deal reportedly included an eight-figure price tag and a multi-year deal contract, The Hollywood Reporter added.
