Before wrapping filming for good on Breaking Bad, it seems that an "alternate" ending was filmed for Walter White and the clip leaked online Monday.

According to NBC Chicago, the clip, which will be on the Breaking Bad: The Complete Series DVDs, shows White waking up as if everything had been a bad dream for Bryan Cranston's other well-known character, Hal from Malcolm in the Middle.

The clip plays out similarly to how Newhart ended, with White waking up in bed after having "the scariest dream" and simply dreamed the whole show. Only this time, Bryan Cranston is now back in Malcolm in the Middle and in bed next to co-star Jane Kaczmarek. His wife says, "I told you not to eat those deep fried Twinkies."

Hal replies to his wife, "You don't understand, I was this meth dealer." He continues after a questioning interjection from his on-screen wife, "Yeah, I was this world-class chemist and I cooked and I sold this ultra pure methamphetamine." He goes on to recount his adventures to his wife, who just tells him it better not be a way to try and get out of driving the kids to school in the morning.

The ending also finally gives an answer to why Kaczmarek was visiting the Breaking Bad set back when the show was still filming, notes the Las Vegas Guardian. Some had wondered at the time if perhaps show creator Vince Gilligan would have the show end with White going into the Witness Protection program and his new identity would be Hal.

Unfortunately, the clip keeps getting pulled from YouTube by Sony, so you might have to wait until the DVD set is released to watch the clip, if you haven't managed to watch it yet.
