Denver Broncos head coach John Fox was rushed to a Charlotte-area hospital Saturday when he felt light-headed while playing a round of golf.
Patrick Smyth told USA Today that Fox is okay and did not have a heart attack. Doctors are running tests to see what caused the feeling that he was light-headed. Since being admitted to the hospital, he has been able to get up and walk around.
NFL columnist Michael Silver also received a text message from the 58-year-old, reading, "I am doing fine. Don't believe everything you hear in the press! We are just running some tests and will know more in a few hours."
The Broncos made a statement about his condition, saying that they would update as they find out more information.
Luckily, the 7-1 Broncos have a bye this week. Fox, in his third season with the Broncos, had been spending the week in Charlotte with his family.
Denver will face the San Diego Chargers on Nov. 10.
