Channing Tatum, as his character Jenko from the 21 Jump Street sequel 22 Jump Street, has spoofed Jean-Claude Van Damme’s epic Volvo split, which has gone viral.
Tatum doesn’t carry out the stunt as well as Van Damme did – in which he showed off his massive flexibility by doing a split inbetween two moving trucks.
The actor, as Jenko, crosses his arms and looks down as two assistants push food trolleys. As they move forward, Tatum doesn’t exactly make a split, Daily Mail notes.
Mimicking Van Damme from the Volvo commercial, Jenko says, “I’ve had my ups and downs. Being an undercover cop. That’s what made me what I am today. Surviving high school is no easy task. Neither being a college freshman at my age. But because of this, my body is now engineered to defy the law of physics and a mindset to master the most epic of split.”
MTV News notes production for 22 Jump Street starring Tatum and Jonah Hill has been underway for over a month in New Orleans.
The films are a reboot of the television series, with the first one a surprise success, grossing $200 million worldwide.
