Comedian Jay Leggett has died at the age of 50 of natural causes after spending the day hunting deer.
According to CNN, Leggett collapsed after enjoying the first day of deer season in Tomahawk, Wis. He was found next to his ATV, which had a deer on it.
Leggett definitely died doing what he loved as the comedian was a known deer hunting lover. He even made a documentary in 2011 about "the fun, family and fraternity of the hunt," called To the Hunt: Deer Season in Tomahawk, Wisconsin.
The sheriff said in a statement, "The victim had returned to the cabin from his deer stand on an ATV. When he got off the machine he collapsed and was found unresponsive by family members who immediately started CPR." Leggett was pronounced dead at the scene.
Variety reports that Leggett had worked - both as a writer and actor - on many shows, including In Living Color, ER, Star Trek: Voyager and others.
In addition to his hunting documentary, Leggett also worked on other films, such as Employee of the Month with Matt Dillon, and Another Day in Paradise. His latest work was Live Nude Girls, which stars Dave Foley and was in post-production earlier in the year.
