The CW is keen on bringing another DC Comics title to TV, this time its Chris Roberson and Michael Allred's iZombie.

Rob Thomas and his co-writer from the upcoming Veronica Mars movie, Diane Ruggierio, are uniting to write the Vertigo imprint comic, Deadline first reported. The drama will be produced by Warner Bros TV and Rob Thomas Prods. Ruggierio, Danielle Stokdyk and Dan Ethridge are executive producing.

iZombie is a detective series that follows Gwendolyn, who is a med student turned zombie, that reluctantly works at a morgue, since she has to eat a brain monthly to keep her humanity and memories. She inherits the person's memories and she does her best to solve their murders.

The latest announcement joins two others from the CW. The network is developing two other shows, one also based off another DC Comics property and one based off a book.

Hourman is about a man who has premonitions and decides to use his knowledge of future events to help people, along with trying to get back into the good graces with his son and ex-wife.

The Painted Girls is set during the Le Belle Epoque as three sisters are studying ballet in Paris. One of the sisters becomes the muse for Edgar Degas.
