The Indiana Pacers took their first loss Saturday as Derrick Rose shined in a 110-94 win.
Derrick Rose finally looked like Derrick Rose in this one. According to USA Today Rose returned Saturday after missing Friday's game with a sore hamstring. Rose was more impressive this time around.
The Chicago point guard scored a season-high 20 points on 7-of-15 shooting. He also went 6-for-10 beyond the arc.
"(The hamstring) feels good," Rose said after the game. "A little tight, but it's not stopping me."
Rose's six three pointers tied his career high on a special night, when the Bulls became the first team to take down the Pacers.
"I thought his first half was terrific," Thibodeau said of Rose after the game. "He had great rhythm and he had our team in great rhythm. His defense was very good. In the second half his defense was pretty good. I thought he got tired. That's to be expected when you miss as much time as he missed."
Chicago Tribune reports that the Bulls have won four straight to improve to 5-3. They had a 33-point lead over Indiana at one point. As a team, they shot 50.6 percent from the field. They were incredible from three as they hit 11 out of 19 from long range.
Luol Deng led a Bulls team that had seven double-digit scorers with 23.
