The Saints complete the season sweep over the Falcons in a 17-13 win in Atlanta.
Drew Brees completed 23-of-33 passes for two touchdowns, one a 44-yarder to big tight end Jimmy Graham and one a one-yard pass to Benjamin Watson. The New Orleans defense definitely did their job as well as they sacked Matt Ryan five times, according to ESPN.
"We're rolling and we can't stop," said Cameron Jordan of the Saints defense."We've got to get better."
The Saints (9-2) hand the Falcons (2-9) their fifth straight loss and are currently on top of the NFC South after a win over their division rivals.
SB Nation reports that the Falcons missed some opportunities in the first half, settling for field goals on the 21- and 6-yard lines after good drives deep into Saints territory. They also had a chance to pull off a comeback late in the game with under 3 minutes left but Ryan couldn't handle the pressure from the Saints D. They ended up missing a long field goal and the Saints ran the clock out from there.
"We knew coming here was going to be a challenge," said Saints coach Sean Payton. "The two teams, the history, regardless of the record it has always been a close game, and tonight was no exception."
