Eminem’s childhood home in Detroit, Mi. is currently featured on the cover for his album MMLP2. The home has been an icon symbol for Eminem and his music but yesterday the home was burned in a fire, according to the Detroit Fire Department.
Firehouse.com reported that the Detroit Fire Department responded to the fire at, 19946 Dresden Street near East State Fair, during the early evening on Thursday. The house is located just south of 8 Mile.
When the fire department arrived on the scene the fire was coming from a window on the second story of the house. The firefighters were able to put out the flames.
CBS Detroit added that the fire department did not have any information regarding the cause of the blaze.
Public records show that the house was listed as the address for Eminem’s mother starting in the 1980s but the house has switched owners multiple times since.
Eminem’s MMLP2 has sold over 750,000 units so far, according to Billboard .
