Actor Ewan Mcgregor will make his Broadway debut in a revival in a Tom Stoppard play.
The Associated Press reports that McGregor will star in a revival of Tom Stoppard's The Real Thing. In the production, McGregor will play a unhappily married man named Henry. The play is directed by Sam Gold.
Although it is his Broadway debut, McGregor does have some experience acting on the stage.
In London 2008, McGregor appeared in Othello opposite Chiwetel Ejiofor at the Donmar Warehouse, and Guys and Dolls, alongside Jane Krakowski, Douglas Hodge and Jenna Russell at the Piccadilly Theatre.
The Real Thing will start its previews next October at the American Airlines Theatre.
McGregor will appear in the film adaptation of August Osage County alongside Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts.
RadioNews also reports that McGregor started filming the new action-comedy, Mortdecai, based on the book series by British-born author Kril Bonfiglioli. MeGregor will star opposite Johnny Depp and Gwyneth Paltrow, with David Koepp as director.
