Ewan McGregor, star of Star Wars, will be making his Broadway debut next year in a revival of Tom Stoppard's "The Real Thing."

According to AP, previews for the show will start next October and McGregor will play the unhappily married Henry in the play. “The Real Thing,” will be directed by Sam Gold.

The hit 1983 Broadway premiere of “The Real Thing” ran for a year and a half.

The Hollywood Reporter added that the play would be produced by Roundabout Theatre Company and will be seen at the American Airlines theater on Oct. 2, 2014 for a limited engagement scheduled. Opening night will be Oct. 30th. The show is set to run run through Jan. 4, 2015.

McGregor was last seen on stage in 2008 in London starring in Othello.

McGregor will also be returning to the big screen in the John Wells’ film adaptation of Tracy Letts’ play "August: Osage County" opposite Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts.
