This past week features some scheduling reshuffling at ABC and Fox, while ABC News lost one of its key figures. But let’s start with NBC’s issues, because those are much more fun to look at.

This past Thursday was the ultimate nadir for the peacock network. For the entire night, it averaged a 1.0 18-49 rating, which was actually lower than The CW’s average. Vampire Diaries and Reign combined for a 1.1, while a full hour of Parks & Recreation averaged a 1.0. Sean Saves The World and The Michael J. Fox Show both only scored a 0.9. When Parenthood is NBC’s top-rated show (with a 1.2), there’s a problem.

It really doesn’t look like NBC can make the right move for Thursday. They tried two weeks of Voice repeats to try to get Sean some viewers and that didn’t work. Maybe they could talk the NFL Network into letting them have Thursday Night Football?

On to the midseason shifts. ABC announced that Revenge is getting pushed to 10 p.m. on Sundays when it comes back on March 9. Did anyone even know that was still on? ABC also said that a new show called Resurrection will take the 9 p.m. slot and midseason show Quest won’t start until the summer. That’s rarely a good sign.

ABC also announced some other movies, like bringing Suburgatory back to replace Back in the Game. The Bachelor is also back on Jan. 6.

Fox also made changes to its winter schedule, mostly just to keep people interested in Tuesdays, the network’s achilles heel. Dads will be finally ending in February, ending our long national nightmare (well, at least for the 3 million people watching it). Brooklyn Nine-Nine, which is doing even better than New Girl now, will be tested at 9:30 p.m. when The Mindy Project goes on hiatus and Glee takes over the 8 p.m. slot.

Finally, the last huge TV news over the weekend was Katie Couric officially leaving ABC News and leaving her syndicated talk show Katie in limbo. Katie is a Disney/ABC production and rumors that the show would be ending started last month. It’s rumored that she’s heading to Yahoo (which coincidentally hosts the Good Morning America site).
