Fans of the Fox hit series Family Guy are still in shock after last night’s show, “Life of Brian.” They just don’t know what to think of the beloved dog, Brian’s demise. Brian was playing in the street with his best friend and often times nemesis Stewie Griffin when he was hit by a car. The Family
Guy first premiered in 1999 and Brian has been one of the most loved characters of the show.
The Wall Street Journal/a> is reporting that writers for Family Guy state that the idea was pitched in a writer’s meeting and that it caught on rapidly. The writers were excited about the possibilities this change could make to the show.
Fans are obviously upset and CNN/a> is reporting that fans want to know why the least liked character, Meg, wasn’t killed off instead. There is hope that Brian’s demise from Family Guy is just a hoax. So far, Fox representatives are not respondig to media requests for further information on the future of the show. This is not the first time that Family Guy has been reconstructed. Cleveland, the show’s only African
American character, was written off and given his own show in 2009. Recently his ex-wife was killed off.
