Diablo Cody and Oprah Winfrey have been working on a comedy project at HBO based on Dr. Julie Holland’s forthcoming book “Moody Bitches.”

The show will focus on source material from the upcoming book that will tell the truth about drugs, sex and sleep. Resulting in a dramatic, complex and over the top comedy.

Cody will write the script. Winfrey will executive produce alongside Cody. Harpo Films will produce the comedy, Variety reported. Cody will also be credited as a creator on the upcoming show.

Harpo, Oprah’s production company, inked a long-term deal with HBO back in 2008. The deal included the development of movies, miniseries, documentaries and scripted series for HBO.

Cody is known for writing, Juno, Young Adult and United States of Tara, added The Huffington Post.

No word yet on who will star in the upcoming comedy project or if Oprah would make an appearance.

Holland’s book and the upcoming comedy have not yet been given a release dates.
