Miss Golden Globe 2014 has been chosen and it’s Sosie Bacon, the daughter of Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are hosting the event.
Bacon has appeared on episodes of her mother’s series The Closer. She’s 21 years old and the youngest child of her famous parents.
HFPA President Theo Kingma said, “As we all know, she comes from a very talented family, and this gets us one degree closer to Kevin Bacon,” LA Times notes.
The Miss Golden Globe title is usually a son or daughter of a Hollywood couple who aids in the Hollywood Foreign Press Association’s Golden Globe Awards, TheWrap reports.
The HFPA’s past picks have been Dakota Johnson, Laura Dern and Rumer Willis.
“I am so grateful to the Hollywood Foreign Press Association for naming me this year’s Miss Golden Globe. As a young actress who is just beginning my career, it is truly an honor to be a part of such a special night in film and television,” Bacon said in a statement. “ I can only hope to continue the legacy and tradition of Miss Golden Globe by following in the footsteps of my predecessors.”
