Looks like British actor and heartthrob Idris Elba is going to be a dad for the second time! The 41-year-old actor is reportedly expecting a baby with his girlfriend Naiyana Garth.
Elba is best known for his roles in HBO’s The Wire, BBC’s Luther, and as Heimdall in Thor and this month’s Thor: the Dark World. The star has reportedly kept his relationship with his makeup artist girlfriend under wraps until recently.
The couple has been together since March of this year, reports Mirror Online. However, many did not know they were together until they made an appearance together earlier this month at the Harper's Bazaar Women of the Year awards at Claridge's Hotel in London, when Garth was sporting a small baby belly.
The couple is said to be absolutely “thrilled” by their new arrival.
"They've been together for a few months but it's really ramped up recently. They get on brilliantly and she's a real hit with his family and friends,” one source reportedly told The Sun.
Another source, reportedly a friend of the couple, spoke to Mirror about the happy couple.
“Idris and Naiyana are so in love and this is the icing on the cake for them,” the source said. “They had been keeping it quiet as it’s early in the pregnancy, but they’ve told family and friends and Naiyana is beginning to show.”
“She is absolutely lovely and she’s looking radiant. Her and Idris are a great couple and feel lucky to have found each other.”
There has been no announcement of how far along Garth is or when the baby is due.
Elba already has an 11-year-old daughter, Isan, with his ex-wife Dormowa Sherman.
