Jennifer Hudson is currently promoting her Christmas musical Black Nativity and she’s sharing how enthusiastic she is about the holidays.
The award-winning actress and singer called herself and her fiancé, David Otunga, “holiday fanatics.”
"We met with the people about two months ago about what our holiday decorations were going to be,” she said, USA Today reports. She also shared she isn’t afraid to get her own hands dirty while doing it.
"Last year we went into the forest and chopped down a live tree. It was a disaster!" she laughed. "But it was so memorable."
Hudson and her fiancé have a 4-year-old son named David. Even though she doesn’t cook, she makes sure he sees her in the kitchen at least every Sunday.
"I only fix one meal. I do baked turkey wings, sweet-potato fries and collard greens. And I try to fix it every Sunday just so my son can see his mommy in the kitchen. (He'll say), 'Mommy, are you cooking the same thing?' 'Yes!'" she shared.
Hudson has a lot to be thankful for this year, she recently received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
