Jennifer Lawrence came into the scene by surprise when she was nominated for best actress for Winter’s Bone, a small independent drama about a girl trying to find her father but gets into something much deeper, and darker. Since then the young actress has sprung into an exceptional career. Becoming the girl on fire, to starring in a long running super hero franchise. Although she has been in her share of duds, the young star who now holds an Oscar for herself is still going up in her career, with American Hustle and Days of Future Past still on their way. With the release of Catching Fire on Friday, we will rank Jennifer Lawrence’s movies from worst to best, starting with:

9) The House at the End of the Street

Just the name itself is enough to give you a headache. Poor execution, and poor direction led this movie to be underwhelming and completely mediocre. I'm sure Lawrence wasn't happy about this one.

8) The Burning Plain

If you've never heard of this movie, that's probably not a bad thing. It's Lawrence's first film, so her role isn't as impactful, but she's still good in it. It's not entirely a terrible movie, it's just boring. Really boring.

7) The Beaver

Jodie Foster's cute, upbeat film won't steal anyone away or create any new J-Law fans, because her role isn't the main focus in the film, but it's still a nice, heartwarming dramedy with Lawrence.

6) Like Crazy

This low budget romance has another supporting role for Lawrence, but it's here we finally see some of her acting talent, and it's enjoyable to watch. If you're into that romantic love kind of stuff.

5) The Poker House

If you haven't seen this movie (or heard of it), I suggest you go to the local Redbox and get it. Lawrence gets a significant role, and for being this being only her second movie, she gives one heck of a performance.

4) X-Men: First Class

Despite being on the best X-Men films, Lawrence only has a supporting role, and while it's good, it's nothing significant or completely noteworthy. Although she completely encompasses the role, her next three films are truly her opus.

3) The Hunger Games

The film that took Jennifer Lawrence's career to the next level, and for good reason. While straying from the source material a bit too much The Hunger Games still proves as a noteworthy action film, with grit and powerful performances all around.

2) Winter's Bone

With only her third movie Lawrence proved to be a serious actor with Winter's Bone. Her harrowing performance about a daughter in her search of her missing father is brooding and powerful and it landed her first Oscar nomination.

1) Silver Linings Playbook

David O' Russell at his finest behind the camera, and Jennifer Lawrence is absolutely remarkable in front of it. The on-screen chemistry between Lawrence and Cooper is fantastic, and Lawrence is completely deserving of the best actress win she received from it.
