Following Alec Baldwin’s firing from MSNBC for his use of a gay slur, comedienne Joan Rivers is coming to his defense.

The 80-year-old Fashion Police star doesn’t agree with the network severing ties with the former 30 Rock actor and thinks everyone needs to “relax.”

"Everybody just relax," she told TMZ before going into her own tirade. "Everybody's either a w-p, a n----r, a k--e, a c---k, a fairy, or a m-k.. Everybody's something so why don't we all calm down."

She added, "Be thankful that we're all living in America, and stop, everybody, being so damn uptight.”

MSNBC has issued a statement about Up Late With Alec Baldwin being canceled, saying, "We are jointly confirming that UP LATE will not continue on MSNBC. This is a mutual parting and we wish Alec all the best."
Sources close to the situation say that Baldwin’s gay slur wasn’t the only reason for his departure. The network reportedly didn’t like the way Baldwin treated one of their staff members who had cancer and felt sensitive to hairspray.
He demanded his own separate space, allegedly saying “I don't give a f--k if she has cancer or not, I want that f--king makeup room."
