Jon Bon Jovi is no stranger to the world of sports; the rock ‘n’ roll star was the founder and primary owner of the Philadelphia Soul, an Arena Football League team formed in 2004. Now the “Livin on a Prayer” singer is setting his sights on the NFL.
Bon Jovi is interested in purchasing the Buffalo Bills, reports CBS Sports. According to numerous sources, Bon Jovi is among the suitors to purchase the NFL team when it becomes available for purchase.
The Buffalo Bills will go to market when owner Ralph Wilson passes. Many believe that the Rogers Communication group in Toronto, which has already worked with the Wilson family to stage games annually in Toronto, is the prime suitor for the NFL franchise. However, Bon Jovi has been seen spending a large amount of time in the area, meeting with power brokers.
Bon Jovi even added another date to his current tour to spend more time in the area.
The Toronto Sun added that Bon Jovi has a key relationship with Tim Leiweke, the president and CEO of Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment, which might help the purchasing process.
