Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge is known for her beauty and fashion trends, but it’s now one of her hairstylists that is making headlines.

Middleton’s personal hairstylist, James Pryce, who quit his job at the Richard Ward salon after being asked to do the royal’s hair on her tour of North America, has been fired.

According to The Telegraph, Pryce, who did Middleton’s hair for her royal wedding to Prince William, was “pushed out” of his role as her hairstylist because the palace wasn’t happy with him using the Duchess to promote his business.

“Richard Ward still cuts Kate’s hair and she has her colour done at the salon,” a source said. “Plus, she has her stylist, Amanda Cook Tucker, who blow dries her hair for events, but James has really been pushed out.”

Furthermore, the source said when he went on tour with the Duchess in the U.S. “he launched a Facebook page and Twitter account which featured hundreds of pictures of Kate and her various hairstyles to promote his business – obviously, that did not go down too well with the Palace at all.”

Middleton has already booked a different hairdresser for her tour of Australia next year, Joh Bailey, reports say.

Meanwhile, Middleton stayed home with baby George while her husband chatted with Taylor Swift at Kensington Palace today during the Winter Whites gala.
