Katie Couric exiting ABC News and looking to make a move to Yahoo.

The Wrap reports that Couric is leaving ABC News and is looking for a new role with Yahoo.

"Thanks to the powerful association between ABC News and Yahoo we know that Katie will continue to work closely with us and welcome her on our air anytime," and ABC News executive said.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Couric's daytime talk show, Katie, is currently on its second season and may not continue. She will complete the season, and an official decision on the fate of the show will not be known until December.

This will be Couric's second exit from ABC, she started in 1979 as a desk assistant, and later was added to the crew in 2011. She anchored different specials, conducted interviews, nade guest appearances on Good Morning America and took part in special events coverage.

The new Yahoo deal, although it has not yet been finalized, will feature Couric hosting a newsmaker interview program that will appear on their homepage.
