Kelly Clarkson has confirmed that she’s expecting her first child with husband, Brandon Blackstock, and now the American Idol winner is stating she thinks she’s having a girl.
She took to Twitter this week and gushed, “I'm pregnant!!! Brandon and I are so excited! Best early Christmas present ever :)”
Clarkson is very confident she’s having a girl, telling Parade in an interview she did before she confirmed her pregnancy, “My eggs aren’t getting any younger so we’ve already started trying. I’m totally gonna have a girl. I’m manifesting it! And when I have a girl, you’re gonna be like, ‘That chick knew it!’”
The singer explained she didn’t have a good family life growing up, as her parents broke up when she was just 5 years old.
“I didn’t really grow up in a family environment. So I didn’t understand it or know if I could do that properly,” she said. But spending time with Blackstock’s kids from a previous marriage; Savannah, 12, and Seth, 7, made her realize she wanted to have a family.
“He’s a great dad. It’s such a turn-on!” she gushed.
Clarkson married Blackstock in an intimate ceremony with only his kids and the officiator last month in Tennessee.
