Charlotte Bobcats third-year man out of UConn played Wednesday night against the Raptors after an MRI on his shoulder came back negative.
The cause of the need for an MRI came in the third quarter Tuesday night against the Knicks. He crashed into Metta World Peace and suffered a shoulder contusion, according to NBA.com.
The Bobcats will be happy to have him in the lineup as he leads the team with 18.5 points and 4.5 assists per game. Tuesday night at Madison Square Garden Walker scored a team high 25 to lead the Bobcats past the Knicks.
Bobcats head coach Steve Clifford says that big man Al Jefferson will miss a fourth game due to an ankle injury, but could possibly return for Friday's home game against the Knicks.
The Knicks suffered a more serious injury on the losing side of Tuesday night's game, as Ny Daily News reports that Tyson Chandler left the game after bumping knees with Walker.
“I just pray and hope that he’s fine,” Carmelo Anthony said. “We miss him, of course. He’s our anchor on the defensive end. So we miss him, big time.”
