The Timberwolves beat the Knicks in New York behind Kevin Love's 34 points and 15 boards.
According to NY Times the Knicks didn't have to deal with Love at all last season since he missed both games against them with injuries. Well on Sunday the Knicks had their hands full as they could not seem to stop him. Along with his game-high points total he added five assists in the Minnesota 109-100 victory.
With this win the Wolves move to a 3-0 start as the Knicks fall to 1-2.
Philly.com reports that the Knicks started the game down 40-19, but climbed there way back to get within two in the fourth. From there it went downhill as Pablo Prigioni received a technical foul followed by a Kevin Martin three pointer for Minnesota. Love capped it off with a circus bank shot and the Knicks only scored two more points before the clock ran out.
Speaking of Kevin Martin, he also had a monster game. He was 5-5 from beyond the arc, and had 30 points. On the other side, Carmelo Anthony led the Knicks scoring, finishing with 22 points and 17 rebounds.
