A month ago, Hillary Scott introduced her new daughter, Eisele Kaye, to the world. Now, the Lady Antebellum singer reveals why she waited so long to decide on a name for her bundle of joy.

“I had felt like the instant I saw her, I would know exactly what her name was — there would be no question,” the 27-year-old country star told People. When she gave birth to her daughter on July 22, however, a name didn't come to her. It was her husband, Chris Tyrrell, who took the reigns.

“She had probably been out of the womb 20 to 30 minutes before we decided for sure. After she was born, I was looking at Chris going, ‘What’s her name?!’” Scott said. “Once he said it, then I knew. I had felt that all along, but I needed him to feel it too.”

The name Eisele comes from Tyrrell's mother's maiden name, while Kaye is Scott's mother's maiden name. “Once he saw her and said it, it was done,” Scott said of her husband. “We love how it sounds kind of musical, it has a sing-song sound to it. It floats in a pretty, musical way,” Scott adds.

Naming their daughter isn't the only thing Tyrrell did well at when it comes to their daughter. “Just when I thought I couldn’t love him more, I love him more every day!” Scott revealed. “He is such a hands-on dad. He is not afraid to do anything — there is not a thing he won’t do.”

Back in October, Scott took to Twitter to reveal the first photo of 3-month-old Eisele Kaye and introduced her daughter to fans.

Lady Antebellum is preparing to start their Take Me Downtown tour in January.
