Lady Gaga will make history by becoming the first artist to sing in space. In 2015, she will go to space on a Virgin Galactic ship after vigorous vocal coaching.

The “Applause” singer will sing one song at the Zero G Colony tech festival in New Mexico, which is a three-day festival at Spaceport America. Her performance will be on the third day of the festival and will take place at dawn.

An insider told Us Weekly, "She has to do a month of vocal training because of the atmosphere.” The source continued it will be "like nothing the world has seen before” and she has “taken out a ridiculous life insurance policy” ahead of it.

Gaga isn’t the only celebrity heading to space, but she will be the only one performing. As we previously reported, Justin Bieber and his manager Scooter Braun will go to space on Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic, as well as Ashton Kutcher and Leonardo DiCaprio.

Bieber, 19, did have some music ideas, tweeting, “@richardbranson @scooterbraun @virgingalactic let's shoot a music video in SPACE!! #nextLEVEL.”
